Boundless Hope - Courageous Action

International Youth Meeting 2025 – commemorating the 80th anniversary of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's death in Flossenbürg

Let’s go! Under the motto "Boundless Hope – Courageous Action" we invite you to a week full of inspiration with an international group of young people. On April 9, 2025, we commemorate the violent death of the Protestant theologian and resistance fighter Dietrich Bonhoeffer for the 80th time, a man who courageously and peacefully stood against national socialism because of his faith. In the tradition of Bonhoeffer, we seek international dialogue and explore common ways to address global challenges. Commemorating together, celebrating together, shaping the future together – this is our aim for this meeting. Alongside young people from different countries, we will explore how we can continue to plant seeds of hope and build bridges despite all the challenges we are facing. We believe in boundless hope: A better future is possible – if we act with courage.

What to expect:

  • Active participation in the Bavarian youth meeting discussions (April 4th to 6th) with engaging workshops. A variety of approaches will allow you to explore the theme creatively, actively, and thoughtfully. Whether through theatre, music, art, movement, or conversations with fascinating people – there’s sure to be something for you.
  • Singing, praying, and celebrating services together.
  • Inspiring talks: Together, we will find the courage to reach out to one another, spread hope, and advocate for compassion. Be inspired and discover what you personally can do today to stand against hate and work towards an open society.
  • Making new friends: Spend the week with an international community, united in the goal of peace and justice.
